Inflammation is the body’s response to something that’s irritating or something harmful. Inflammation can be felt, therefore taken care of right away or silent, which can last for years inside our bodies without we even notice it. This is the worst kind of inflammation.
Certain foods, called anti-inflammatory foods, have the capability to reduce said inflammation. They are amazing natural supplements to include in our daily diets. Some of them are:
Black Pepper, Basil, Cardamom, Cayenne, Chamomile, Chives, Cilantro, Cinnamon, Cloves, Garlic, Ginger, Parsley, Nutmeg, Rosemary and Turmeric, Food rich in omega 3 and much more.
Of course, the opposite of that is true as well; some foods can increase your body’s inflammatory response, potentially increasing your risk of chronic disease. Inflammatory ingredients, are unfortunately, very common in our daily lives: they are:
Sugars in all forms, Flours in all forms (including seemingly benign gluten-free), All processed food, Gluten and Dairy. Stay away from them or counteract their negativity with some of the spices from above list (they also taste great).
