If you are tired to pay more than CNY 50 for your almond milk too, well, you’d better learn how to make your own.
The amazing thing about it is that all it takes is a blender and 10 minutes of your time!
Herebelow the steps for a liter of almond milk:
Place 1 cup almonds in a jar
Cover with 1 cup of water
Tightly close the jar
Soak overnight (no more than 2 days)
Discard water
Pour into blender with 4 cups of water and blend until smooth (you may add 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1.5 tbsp maple syrup or honey and a dash of cinnamon)
Strain liquid from pulp through cheesecloth, applying the necessary pressure to squeeze out all liquid
Retain the almond paste pulp for other uses (like healthy cookies)
It keeps in the refrigerator for 3-4 days!
