Chickpea, chickpea
you are a very delectable bean

 

Chickpeas are healthy and delicious

 And fit in every dish, even the most ambitious.

 

You can blend them into hummus for a dip

And if you are lucky you can use a gluten-free chip

 

You can season and roast them crunchy

With a bit of paprika they are quite punchy

 

You can make Italian ceci and rigatoni

that is a version of the most common macaroni.

 

When I am in India I eat it’s flour
that is used for fritters and flat bread with superpower

Sometime I forgot to make a dinner plan

So I just eat you out of the can

 

 

Hummus recipe:

One 15-ounce can chickpeas, also called garbanzo beans

1 lemon fresh juice

1/4 cup tahini

Half of a large garlic clove

2 tablespoons olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

2 to 3 tablespoons water

1 dash of ground paprika
